Volleyball Recap: Sydney Kuykendall's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Llano over Burnet

Llano lost against Burnet back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Yellowjackets fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1.

Llano started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-13, 25-22.

Llano lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Sydney Kuykendall, who had ten digs. Renner Lilie was another key player, getting six digs and two aces.

Llano now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Burnet, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Llano wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Lampasas on the 15th. As for Burnet, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Tournament Opponent on the 16th.
