Recap: Sheridan Hills Christian Sharks vs. First Baptist Academy Lions
The Sheridan Hills Christian Sharks stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 76-55 margin over First Baptist Academy. Winning may never get old, but Sheridan Hills Christian sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Sheridan Hills Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elias Feliz, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. Feliz has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Seay, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Sheridan Hills Christian pushed their record up to 14-4 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for First Baptist Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
Sheridan Hills Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cristo Rey at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Cristo Rey comes in still looking for their first win of the season. First Baptist Academy on the road again on Tuesday and play against Grace Baptist Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
