Recap: Halifax Wildcats vs. Dayspring Christian Academy Warriors

The Halifax Wildcats came tearing into Tuesday's contest with 14 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 64-45 win over Dayspring Christian Academy. Given Halifax's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 310th, while Dayspring Christian Academy is ranked 658th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noah Huxta, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Miracle Johnsons was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.

Halifax's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points per game. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Halifax will head out on the road to take on Midd-West at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Midd-West has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Lititz Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Lititz Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Monday.
