Soccer Recap: Parsons Takes a Loss

Parsons was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Independence Bulldogs, falling 8-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Independence this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 back in September.

Parsons' defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Independence, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Parsons will venture away from home to face off against Louisburg at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Independence, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Fort Scott at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th.
