Softball Recap: Old Lyme Wildcats vs. Portland Highlanders
Old Lyme had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Portland Highlanders a 16-0 shutout on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for Old Lyme, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Old Lyme will look to defend their home field on Monday against Coginchaug Regional at 4:00 p.m. Portland will take on Hale Ray at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Portland will come in still looking for their first win of the season.
