Basketball Game Preview: Mound City Panthers vs. South Holt Knights

The Mound City Panthers will head out to square off against the South Holt Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mound City is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Mound City might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 69-47 to Tarkio, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Holt). They blew past DeKalb 73-20 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

South Holt's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6. As for Mound City, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Mound City might still be hurting after the 65-44 defeat they got from South Holt when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Mound City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
