Baseball Recap: Centauri Takes a Loss

If Centauri was feeling good fresh off their 16-1 takedown of Center on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons came up short against the Las Animas Trojans on Friday, falling 15-0. The Falcons have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Centauri saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rjay Jaramillo, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Centauri's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centauri will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rocky Ford at 11:00 a.m. on the 27th. As for Las Animas, they will be taking part in a tournament against Wiley at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
