Soccer Game Preview: Greeley Central vs. Berthoud

The Greeley Central Wildcats will square off against the Berthoud Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Greeley Central's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Greeley Central's offense. They came up short against Mountain View on Tuesday, falling 7-0.

Meanwhile, Berthoud managed to keep up with Mountain View until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Spartans lost 3-0 to the Mountain Lions. Berthoud have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Greeley Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-7-1. As for Berthoud, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1.

Greeley Central beat Berthoud by a goal in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 2-1. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
