Baseball Recap: Lakeview Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Lakeview extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 10-5 in the process. They blew past the McKinley Red Dragons 13-2. With that victory, the Bulldogs brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Nathan Paolucci made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Paolucci was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Lakeview let Jacob Shaker and Isaiah Lantz run wild. Shaker went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Lantz got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Lakeview hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive contests.

As for McKinley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

On McKinley's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brighton Gilmour, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Looking ahead, Lakeview will take on Streetsboro at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for McKinley, they will face off against Harding at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
