Baseball Recap: West Orange-Stark Takes a Loss

West Orange-Stark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warren Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 last Friday.

West Orange-Stark saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Williams, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

West Orange-Stark's loss dropped their record down to 0-8-1. As for Warren, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

West Orange-Stark and Warren could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. West Orange-Stark (ranked 959th) will meet Bridge City (ranked 31st) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Orange-Stark has given up an average of 12.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Similarly, Warren will square off against Orangefield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 439 places (558 vs. 119).
