Volleyball Recap: Ella Sullivan and Rihanna Brooks Secure Win for Red Mountain

Red Mountain won the last time they faced Dobson and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mountain Lions came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mountain Lions.

Red Mountain was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 14-25, 25-10, 25-15.

Red Mountain was led to victory by Rihanna Brooks and Ella Sullivan. Brooks had 36 assists and three digs, while Sullivan had 16 digs and two aces. Brooks has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last nine times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Red Mountain was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in four consecutive contests.

Red Mountain's record now sits at 18-13. As for Dobson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Red Mountain will host Chandler at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Dobson, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th.
