Recap: Woodstock Wolverines vs. Harrison Hoyas
The Woodstock Wolverines pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 65-55 to Harrison. While losing is never fun, Woodstock can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 254th, while Harrison is ranked 34th).
Despite the loss, Woodstock still got an impressive performance from lily conkell, who scored 21 points. The game was conkell's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Morghan Slater, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Woodstock bumped their record down to 3-9 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Harrison, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.
Woodstock will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Douglass at 3:00 p.m. on December 28th. Douglass is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. Harrison and Westlake will round out the year against one another at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at.
