Recap: Eastside Early College Panthers vs. Crockett Cougars
The Eastside Early College Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 57-29 loss at the hands of Crockett. Eastside Early College was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-8.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crockett to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aliyah Smith, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Lauren Smith was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Eastside Early College's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Crockett, their win bumped their record up to 7-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastside Early College will take on LBJ Austin at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. LBJ Austin comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Crockett, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against McCallum at 3:00 p.m. McCallum is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
