Baseball Game Preview: Arroyo Grande Eagles vs. Righetti Warriors

The Arroyo Grande Eagles will head out to challenge the Righetti Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Arroyo Grande came up short against St. Joseph and fell 10-5. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Linkin Whitney was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Arroyo Grande: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Ruben Servin, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Righetti also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Morro Bay by a score of 6-1. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Righetti's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7. As for Arroyo Grande, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Arroyo Grande came out on top in a nail-biter against Righetti in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 9-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
