            Baseball Recap: West Windsor-Plainsboro South Pirates vs. Lawrence Cardinals        
        
		
        
        
            West Windsor-Plainsboro South extended their losing streak  to six  on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 3-8 in the process. They fell  9-4 to the Lawrence Cardinals. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing  12-3 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
  Bennett Siegel was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  double. That  triple was  his first of the season.
As for Lawrence, their win was  their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 9-4. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games.
On Lawrence's side, they got a great performance from  Connor Crowley as he  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   four  hits (and not a single walk).
 At the plate, Lawrence let  Teak Toto and  Deacon Moore run wild. Toto  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI, while  Moore  went 3-for-4 with one  run and one  double. Those  three  hits gave  Moore a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Ben Hauger, who  earned two  runs and two  stolen bases.
 Looking ahead, West Windsor-Plainsboro South will take on Robbinsville at 11:00  a.m.  on Monday. As for Lawrence, they will head out on the road to  take on  Notre Dame  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
