Volleyball Recap: Botkins Takes a Loss

Botkins had taken Troy Christian down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Trojans lost 3-0 to the Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

Stella Braun paced Botkins' offense, picking up ten kills. Braun got some help from Peyton Platfoot and her 33 assists. Platfoot was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Botkins moved to 11-13 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Troy Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-10.

As of now, neither Botkins nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
