After a string of four wins, Brewbaker Tech's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Wetumpka Indians by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Indians this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-1 defeat on September 9th.

Brewbaker Tech started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 16-25, 25-16, 25-18, 15-11.

Wetumpka was led to victory by Hannah Burdett and Emily Stanford. Burdett had 27 digs and three aces, while Stanford had eight digs. Those 27 digs gave Burdett a new career-high.

Brewbaker Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Wetumpka, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
