Softball Game Preview: Wasatch Wasps vs. Salem Hills Skyhawks

For the second straight game, Wasatch will face off against Salem Hills. The Wasps will face off against the Skyhawks at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Wasatch has given up an average of 9.4 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wasatch heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Thursday. They came up short against Salem Hills, falling 11-1. The Wasps haven't had much luck with the Skyhawks recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

For Salem Hills' part, Jocile Norman made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Norman was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Salem Hills got a massive performance out of Aliyah Elmer, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Emmery Wilson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run.

Salem Hills hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive matchups.

Wasatch's loss dropped their record down to 9-20. As for Salem Hills, their record is now 23-4.
