Baseball Recap: Montgomery County Triumphs

Montgomery County's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Bryan Station Defenders 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted since March 19, 2024.

Jordan Howard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Montgomery County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayse Mays, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Montgomery County's victory bumped their record up to 18-12. As for Bryan Station, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season.
