It was a proper cat-fight when Beardstown duked it out with Jersey on Saturday. The Tigers fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Springfield Southeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Monticello, falling 5-0.

Springfield Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Beardstown, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Beardstown beat Springfield Southeast 2-0 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
