Volleyball Recap: St. John's Takes a Loss

St. John was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Leipsic Vikings. If the Bluejays were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Vikings when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14, 25-12.

Madilyn Conley paced St. John's offense, picking up six kills. Conley got some help from Megan Kerner and her eight assists. Skyleigh Loomis controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

St. John's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Leipsic, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, St. John's will welcome Spencerville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Leipsic, they will head out to challenge Ayersville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
