Volleyball Recap: Calhoun Comes Up Short

Calhoun was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Doddridge County Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss back in September.

Calhoun started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-19, 25-11.

Calhoun's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Doddridge County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-16.

Looking ahead, Calhoun will face off against Wood County Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Doddridge County, they will head out to face off against Tyler at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
