Coeur d'Alene had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.8 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Saturday. They breezed by the Post Falls Trojans to the tune of 77-40. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Trojans are ranked 53rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Coeur d'Alene to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brookeslee Colvin, who went 9 for 11 to rack up 23 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. The dominant performance also gave Colvin a new career-high in shooting accuracy (82%). Another player making a difference was Lexie Wheeler, who went 7 of 12 on her way to 16 points along with seven assists and four steals.

Coeur d'Alene pushed their record up to 15-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points over those games. As for Post Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.

Coeur d'Alene will have a chance to go back-to-back against Post Falls: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
