            Softball Recap: Trinity Blazers vs. Lincoln Park Lions        
        
		
        
        
            After flying high against Westmont  on Thursday, Trinity came back down to earth. The Blazers fell just short of the Lincoln Park Lions by a score of  3-2 on Tuesday. The Blazers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in April of 2024.
 Gisella Corral was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Those  zero  hits allowed gave  her a new career-low. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in two of her three plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  run.
 Corral wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Soleila Arroyo, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base and one  run.
Trinity's record now sits at 2-16. As for Lincoln Park, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record  this season.
 Trinity will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against St. Francis  at 5:00  p.m. As for Lincoln Park, they will venture away from home to  face off against Payton College Prep  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
