Recap: LaSalle Royal Lions vs. Don Soffer Aventura Barracuda
There's no place like home for the LaSalle Royal Lions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They secured a 48-43 W over Don Soffer Aventura on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as LaSalle also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Don Soffer Aventura's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nimrod Amiel Eilon, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Amiel Eilon pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tom Sela, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
LaSalle's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Don Soffer Aventura, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-5.
LaSalle will face off against Mater Brickell Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mater Brickell Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.2 points per game. As for Don Soffer Aventura, they will be playing at home against Coral Springs Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Coral Springs Charter is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
