Baseball Recap: Baldwin Park Beats Azusa for Their Fourth Straight Win

Baldwin Park lost to Azusa back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Baldwin Park Braves blew past the Azusa Aztecs 11-1. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by ten runs or more this season.

Julian Huerta made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isaiah Montes, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Isaiah Felix also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The victory (which was Baldwin Park's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11.8 runs. As for Azusa, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baldwin Park will take on Duarte at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
