The matchup between Rockwood and Tussey Mountain on Thursday hardly resembled the 4-0 effort from their previous meeting. Rockwood narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Tussey Mountain 11-10. That's two games straight that the Rockets have won by just one run.

The team relied heavily on Carson Brown, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Handwerk, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Rockwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tussey Mountain only posted an OBP of .421.

The win made it two in a row for Rockwood and bumps their season record up to 3-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Tussey Mountain, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 3-1.

Coming up, Rockwood will be playing in front of their home fans against Shanksville Stonycreek at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tussey Mountain, they will head out to challenge Southern Fulton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Southern Fulton will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Tussey Mountain surely won't give up without a fight.
