Softball Recap: Bremen Takes a Loss

Bremen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Fenton Bison, falling 22-11. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bison this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-5 on Saturday.

Brooke Gluszek made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Emma Oganovich, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.

Bremen's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Fenton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-8 record this season.

Bremen didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-5 defeat against Lemont on the 21st. As for Fenton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 22-2 victory against Maine East on the 21st.
