Baseball Recap: McClymonds Comes Up Short

McClymonds had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 2-5 to make it four. They lost 10-0 to the Oakland Wildcats. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 7-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Oakland, the victory got them back to even at 6-6. Considering they have won six matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Oakland's part, RJ Jacobson was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with five stolen bases and two runs. Jacobson is becoming a predictor of the Wildcats' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 2-6 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Ever Sauceda, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Coming up, Oakland will venture away from home to face off against Castlemont at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. McClymonds will be paying especially close attention to the Wildcats' contest: after the Wildcats face off against the Knights, they'll take on McClymonds again at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
