Volleyball Recap: Holy Name Victorious

Holy Name's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Twinsburg Tigers.

Hayden Wells had an outrageously good game as she had 21 digs and three assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Allison Orzech also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Despite the loss, Twinsburg still got an impressive performance from Madisyn Muth, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Holy Name is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. As for Twinsburg, they moved to 6-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Holy Name and Twinsburg will both be playing Avon Lake the next time they take the court. The Green Wave will head out to face the Shoremen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
