Lookout Valley took a serious blow against Chattanooga Prep, falling 102-33. Lookout Valley has struggled against Chattanooga Prep recently, as their contest on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Chattanooga Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Derrick Roberson, who scored 19 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cadence Collins, who scored 13 points along with 5 steals.
Lookout Valley bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.0 points per game. As for Chattanooga Prep, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lookout Valley will take on St. Andrews-Sewanee at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chattanooga Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Plainview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Plainview knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Chattanooga Prep likes a good challenge.
