Basketball Recap: Wartburg Central Comes Up Short

Wartburg Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Coalfield Yellow Jackets, falling 54-32. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Wartburg Central now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Coalfield, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-8.

Wartburg Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-38 loss against Oliver Springs on the 28th. Coalfield has also already played their next contest, a 49-36 defeat against Maryville Christian on the 27th.
