Soccer Game Preview: West Catholic vs. Thornapple Kellogg

The West Catholic Falcons will square off against the Thornapple Kellogg Trojans at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. West Catholic's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

West Catholic took a five-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Northview, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Falcons never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Monday.

Meanwhile, Thornapple Kellogg didn't have quite enough to beat East Grand Rapids on Monday and fell 3-2.

West Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 3-7-1. As for Thornapple Kellogg, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 7-2-1.
