Forestview was sadly handed a loss on Tuesday, but Isaac Aycock did his best to prevent it. Aycock was unstoppable, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Even though Aycock couldn't lead Forestview over North Gaston, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Forestview will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 196 places lower in North Carolina), but they're not letting that get them down.
