Basketball Game Preview: Poth Pirates vs. Northeast Early College Raiders

The Poth Pirates and the Northeast Early College Raiders will round out the year against one another at at 12:10 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Poth is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest defeat since March 2nd on Friday. They fell just short of Wimberley by a score of 57-54. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 955th, while the Texans are ranked 230th).

Meanwhile, Northeast Early College was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against Lago Vista, falling 60-30. Having soared to a lofty 55 points in the game before, the Raiders couldn't push the score so high this time.

Northeast Early College's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Poth, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
