Basketball Recap: Tramaine Jackson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Splendora over Dayton

Splendora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 71-58 to the Dayton Broncos. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-53 back in December of 2024.

Splendora's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tramaine Jackson, who posted 22 points and five assists. That's the most points Jackson has posted since back in November of 2024. Jaydn McNeely was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Splendora's loss dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Dayton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-10.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Porter the next time they take the court. Dayton will host Porter at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Splendora will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
