Softball Recap: Porterville Falls Short of Woodlake in the Playoffs

Porterville and Woodlake squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Porterville had to settle for second. They fell 6-3 to the Tigers. The Panthers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Maddisyn Montecinos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Porterville's loss dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Woodlake, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-1.

Porterville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Woodlake, they will be playing at home against Justin Garza at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Guardians have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
