Volleyball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short on the Road Against Berthoud

Mountain View had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 3-1 to the Berthoud Spartans on Thursday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

While Mountain View had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-23, 22-25, 25-22.

Addison Roark paced Mountain View's offense, picking up 16 kills. Roark got some help from Jaya Hickey and her 34 assists. Katy O'Brien controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Among those leading the charge was Bella Shelton, who had 14 digs and two aces.

Looking ahead, Mountain View will challenge Centaurus at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Berthoud, they will face off against Greeley West at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
