Baseball Recap: Montebello Oilers vs. Schurr Spartans
Montebello lost to Schurr last Tuesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Oilers came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 6-1.

Isaac Solorzano spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

Montebello was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Schurr only posted a batting average of .130.
Montebello's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Schurr, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.
Montebello will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Spartans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
