Softball Game Preview: George Ranch Longhorns vs. Freeman Golden Eagles

The George Ranch Longhorns will take on the Freeman Golden Eagles at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. George Ranch will be strutting in after a victory while Freeman will be coming in after a defeat.

George Ranch is headed into the game having just posted their closest win since March 1, 2025 on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Jersey Village 5-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Longhorns.

Kaylie Wacker was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Freeman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Fort Bend Hightower, falling 12-2. That's two games in a row now that the Golden Eagles have lost by exactly ten runs.

Freeman's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for George Ranch, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
