Basketball Recap: Midland Classical Academy Comes Up Short

Midland Classical Academy was the 45-30 winner over Temple Christian when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Midland Classical Academy Knights fell just short of the Temple Christian Eagles by a score of 55-53 on Saturday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Temple Christian found their leader in sophomore Jessie Dejesus, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds Dejesus has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Miles Page, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 14 points along with five boards and three steals.

Midland Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Temple Christian, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-9.

Midland Classical Academy will challenge Lake Country Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Temple Christian, they will square off against Lubbock Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
