Softball Game Preview: Taylor Tigers vs. Concord Pirates

The Taylor Tigers will face off against the Concord Pirates at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. Taylor is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 17 games.

Taylor is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Scranton 3-1.

Meanwhile, Concord owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Saturday. They put the hurt on Sacred Heart with a sharp 7-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won 14 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Concord is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Taylor, their win bumped their record up to 21-3.
