Softball Recap: Forreston Comes Up Short

If Forreston was feeling good fresh off their 19-4 takedown of Hiawatha on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals came up short against the Durand Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 7-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Tuesday.

Caroline Bawinkel made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Forreston dropped their record down to 3-16 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Durand, their record now sits at 8-6.

Looking ahead, Forreston will square off against Amboy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Durand, they will face off against Lena-Winslow at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
