Hedgesville came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with seven straight wins dating back to last season, and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Spring Mills Cardinals by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hedgesville was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 20-25, 25-21, 25-17.

Gillian Sykes went supernova, getting nine digs and four aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (12).

Hedgesville's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Spring Mills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4-1.
