Softball Game Preview: Steeleville Warriors vs. Valmeyer Pirates

The Steeleville Warriors will challenge the Valmeyer Pirates at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Wednesday, Steeleville didn't have quite enough to beat Sparta and fell 5-4.

Steeleville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zoey Wolf, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Valmeyer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-0 to Steeleville, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Pirates have suffered against the Warriors since April 9, 2019.

Steeleville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Valmeyer, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
