Basketball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Brighton's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

Brighton won the last time they faced Immanuel Christian, and Reid Williams did his part to make sure it happened again. The Brighton Bengals took their matchup on Thursday with ease, bagging a 61-26 win over the Immanuel Christian Lions thanks in part to Williams, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. Those 14 points gave him a new career-high.

Brighton is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Immanuel Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Varsity Opponent the next time they take the court. Immanuel Christian will head out to face Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Brighton will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on January 10th.
