Baseball Preview: Legacy Lightning vs. Poudre Impalas

Legacy is 8-0 against Poudre since April of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Legacy Lightning will be playing at home against the Poudre Impalas at 4:00 p.m. Legacy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

Even though they lost, Poudre was hitting in the alleys and finished the game with five doubles. That's the most doubles they've managed all season.

Legacy's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Poudre, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

Legacy was able to grind out a solid win over Poudre in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, winning 3-0. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Poudre's Christian Etzel, who struck out ten batters over 7.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits.
