Baseball Game Preview: King's Knights vs. Sultan Turks

King is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Sultan a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The King's Knights will look to defend their home field against the Sultan Turks at 5:00 p.m. King's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Sultan's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Last Friday, King's needed a bit of extra time to put away Overlake. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Owls. Surprisingly, this marked the Knights' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Nate Echebarger was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Meanwhile, Sultan can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They blew past Friday Harbor 13-1. Considering the Turks have won four contests by more than 11 runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Sultan's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for King's, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

King's beat Sultan 6-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Turks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
