            The Honaker Tigers and the Johnson County Longhorns will compete for holiday cheer  at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. One thing working in Honaker's favor is that they have posted at least 55  points  every time they've taken the court this season.
Honaker took a loss when they played away from home  on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Monday. Everything went their way against Union as Honaker made off with  a  60-40 victory.

 Alayna McNulty had a dynamite game for Honaker,  going 7 for 9  on her way to 18  points in addition to eight  rebounds and five  steals. The  game was  McNulty's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kalli Miller, who  went 5 of 10  en route to 11 points and seven  steals.
 Honaker  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 12  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive boards in 21 consecutive  matchups  dating back to last season.
 Meanwhile, Johnson County waltzed into their contest  on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Buffaloes, sneaking past  40-38.
 Honaker's win was  their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 2-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.4 points per game. As for Johnson County, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.
 Everything came up roses for Honaker against Johnson County when the teams last played  back in November of 2023, as the  team secured  a  73-34 win. Does  Honaker have another victory up their sleeve, or will Johnson County turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
