Preview: Napoleon Wildcats vs. Southview Cougars
Napoleon and Southview are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Napoleon Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Southview Cougars at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Napoleon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Napoleon suffered a tough 61-37 loss at the hands of Northview. Napoleon has not had much luck with Northview recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Napoleon had strong showings from Chloe Cicero, who scored 15 points, and Ella Tassler, who scored 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for Tassler.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Southview had to settle for a 31-29 loss against Clay on Friday.
Napoleon's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Southview, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Napoleon came up short against Southview in their previous meeting back in January, falling 40-33. Can Napoleon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
